Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has a strong take about Florida’s quarterback situation.
The Gators’ offense struggled throughout Florida’s 33-17 loss to Michigan on Saturday in Arlington, Texas. Two quarterbacks saw the field, Feleipe Franks and Malik Zaire, but they left plenty to be desired. Franks completed 5 of 9 passes for 75 yards, and Zaire went 9-of-17 passing for 106 yards.

Those words might sting, especially with them coming from a former Bulldogs quarterback. But Murray has a point. Florida has struggled with its quarterback play in recent years, and it’s difficult to see the Gators taking their program to the next level under coach Jim McElwain without above-average play in the pocket.
It’s early in the season. And yes, there’s time to correct errors from the loss Saturday. But Florida better hope its quarterback play improves in a hurry.
