As the NFL draft continues to turn into a year round fasicnation, ESPN’s Todd McShay has put his list of the top 32 prospects. As you can guess, a number of SEC prospects are on the list.
Three players landed in the top 10, led by Arden Key of LSU at No. 3. The LSU defensive end is the highest ranked non-quarterback, as USC’ Sam Darnold and Wyoming’s Josh Allen came in at No. 1 and No. 2.
The highest-rated Alabama player is defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, who McShay ranks as his No. 8 player. Derrius Guice comes in as the No. 10 player, and the second highest ranked running back behind Penn State’s Saquon Barkley.
In all, the Crimson Tide had five players ranked in McShay’s top 32, the most of any school. Calvin Ridley came in at No. 11, Bo Scarbrough at No. 13, cornerback Anthony Averett at No. 15 and Ronnie Harrison at No. 24.
Two other SEC players made the cut, as Texas A&M’s Christian Kirk and Mississippi State State offensive tackle Martinas Rankin were ranked as the No. 14 and No. 30 prospects.
The 2018 NFL Draft is set for April 26.
