While there’s a number of SEC schools working through the quarterback position, the Auburn Tigers are still undecided on what to do at running back. It’s looking like a committee approach could be used to start the season.

Auburn’s top two rushers from last season have graduated. Cameron Artis-Payne led the Tigers with over 1,600 yards and quarterback Nick Marshall had 925 yards.’s Brandon Marcello reports three running backs are neck and neck for playing time with just two weeks before the Tigers’ opener against Louisville at the Georgia Dome.

More than one week after running backs coach Tim Horton said Roc Thomas and Peyton Barber had jumped ahead of Jovon Robinson, the race is back to a dead heat.

Thomas and Barber combined for less than 300 yards last season. Robinson enrolled at Auburn in January as the top-ranked JUCO running back.
