Thabo Sefolosha will not join the Hawks in Jacksonville, Fla. for tonight’s exhibition game against the Pelicans.
Sefolosha was acquitted of all three charges against him in Manhattan Criminal Court Friday morning. The jury came back after less than an hour of deliberations but Sefolosha was to return to Atlanta rather than meet the team for the 7 p.m. game.
Sefolosha missed all of training camp this week due to the trial, which began on Monday with jury selection. The Hawks played their first exhibition game Wednesday in Cincinnati against the Cavaliers. The Hawks had an assistant coach and a trainer in New York so Sefolosha could work out while not in court.
The Hawks next exhibition game in which Sefolosha could play for the first time since April 7 will be Wednesday, a home game against the Spurs.
