Izzy Wilson and Braxton Davidson, a pair of Braves prospects, helped Peoria defeat Surprise 7-4 in Saturday’s Arizona Fall League meeting.

Center fielder Cristian Pache, the Braves’ highest-ranked prospect in Arizona, wasn’t in the lineup, paving the way for Wilson to start in right field.

Pache ran into a wall in the eight inning of Friday’s game, but he stayed in. With an off day Sunday, Pache will have two days off before the season’s final three regular-season games.

Davidson is a 2014 first-round pick who defines feast (homer) or famine (strikeout). The first baseman doubled home a run in the second inning. He also knocked in a pair of runs Friday night.

The 22-year-old won AFL player of the week after posting back-to-back two-homer games. His five home runs are tied for the league lead.

Wilson showed off his power in the fourth, punishing a ball 421 feet over the right-field wall. It was Wilson’s second homer in the AFL, where he hit .207 in eight games entering the day. Six of Wilson’s seven hits have gone for extra bases.

Peoria’s roster consists of prospects from the Braves, Brewers, Mariners, Padres and Rays. Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna was the league MVP for Peoria in 2017.
