Braves’ attendance at SunTrust Park just above last year’s average

The Atlanta Braves are playing in their first season at SunTrust Park in 2017.

In Turner Field’s final year, the Braves averaged 25,079 ticket holders per game. That was up from an average of 25,017 in 2015

Per MLB policy, since 1993, announced attendance represents tickets sold, not the number of people in the stadium.

How will move to SunTrust Park affect Braves attendance?

The Braves' lowest attendance for a season was in 1975 with 534,672 fans attending a game. (The number reflects actual turnstile count.) The Braves drew 2,020,914 fans in 2016, up slightly from 2015’s 2,001,392 attendance low.

Below is a look at how at the team has fared. (The red line constitutes the average attendance over the season. Hover over the columns -- or select a group of columns -- to get details on the games and attendance. You also can filter by opponents.)
