BET Awards add Questlove, Nas, Quincy Jones to lineup for June 28 show

The June 28 BET Awards have added Questlove, Black Thought, Nas, Public Enemy, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Jay Rock, YG, Rapsody and Mister Jahi to its performance lineup.

The annual awards show, which will take place virtually but air for the first time on CBS as well as BET and BET HER, also announced appearances from Samuel L. Jackson, Billy Porter, Regina Hall, Lena Waithe, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Debbie Allen, Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Sterling K. Brown and numerous others.

This year's BET Awards are hosted by Amanda Seales; the show will kick off at 8 p.m.

Previously announced performers include Atlanta's Chloe X Halle and Usher, as well as Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker and DaBaby.

As for the nominees, Drake leads the pack with six, including best male hip-hop artists and the viewer's choice award for his collaborations with Chris Brown ("No Guidance") and Future ("Life is Good"). Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch nabbed five nominations, followed by Beyonce, Lizzo, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, each with four.
