“God made me bulletproof,” Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi said in a Twitter post just hours after he was shot at a Waffle House in the 3000 block of Piedmont Road.

Police told the television station the shooter was sitting a group of men at the Waffle House before he opened fire just before 4 a.m. Yung Mazi was struck in the shoulder, and the shooter left the scene.

No one else inside the restaurant was injured.

Yung Mazi was taken to Piedmont Hospital, according to Channel 2.

Waffle House Executive Vice President Vecus Miller said store surveillance caught the attack.

“It shows a lot of commotion it shows it's very difficult to see all the things,” Miller told Channel 2. “It shows the restaurant was filled.”

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Channel 2's Audrey Washinton looked into the rapper's past and learned he is known for getting shot.
