Marietta police are investigating a crash where a pedestrian was killed Tuesday after a car struck him, the police chief said.
Clide Frost, 60, of Marietta, entered the northbound lane, where 35-year-old Anthony Martarella was driving, Marietta Police Chief Dan Flynn said in a news release. He was not in a crosswalk.
The crash temporarily shut down on Cobb Parkway between Field Parkway and Bells Ferry Road about 1:10 a.m. in Marietta.
Northbound lanes of Cobb Parkway were closed until about 3 a.m.
Frost was taken in serious condition to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he later died.
