Alpine Independent School District has placed all schools in lockdown Thursday morning after reports of an active shooter at Alpine High School.
The Brewster County Sheriff's Department confirmed the school lockdown to KWES.
At least one student was injured, and the shooter is believed to be dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
