April 4, 2017 Atlanta: Students from the University of Antwerp in Belgium joined visitors and guests alike at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center) on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta on the 49th anniversary of his assassination. The Center marked the day by holding a private ecumenical luncheon with leaders from The Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths that engaged in dialogue with Ambassador Andrew Young about the involvement of faith leaders during the Civil Rights Movement. The Luncheon dialogue was co-moderated by Dr. Bernice A. King, CEO of The King Center and Reggie Joiner one of the founding pastors of Northpoint Community Church and the founder/CEO of Orange, a nonprofit that connects churches and homes to influence the character and faith of the next generation.
