HOLLOWAY (JENKINS), Elizabeth Kirkpatrick

Elizabeth Kirkpatrick (Jenkins) Holloway, PhD, born September 17, 1923, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020. A native of Eden, North Carolina, she was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Morgan Kirkpatrick and Lillian Neal Kirkpatrick, twin brother Thomas M. Kirkpatrick, Jr. as well as husbands, George M. Jenkins and Bruce R. Holloway and nephew, John E. Kirkpatrick. Professionally she was known as Dr. Elizabeth K. Jenkins and was a Professor of Education (Department Head of Curriculum and Development) at Georgia State University in Atlanta. She was also an accomplished organist and musician. Elizabeth enjoyed world travel, entertaining, gourmet food and excellent Scotch. She was a true "bon-vivant" and had a varied and diverse group of friends from multiple generations and backgrounds. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her niece, Alice Kirkpatrick Welden of Kennesaw, GA and nephews, Thomas M. Kirkpatrick, III of Frisco, NC and Michael E. Kirkpatrick of West Palm Beach, FL as well as several grandnieces and nephews.
