GRIFFITH, Julia

Julia Ann Dobson Griffith age 94 of Atlanta passed away on September 19, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and cousin who will be greatly missed. A devoted Christian, Julia Ann was one of the longest standing members of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. Julia Ann was born November 5, 1926 and was a daughter of the late William Alonzo and Edith McKenzie Dobson. She was a proud native Atlantan, was active in the community and was a huge Atlanta Braves Fan. She is survived by daughters, Edith L. Bowman and Tracy A. Crossman; son, Henry W. Griffith, Jr.; brother, William A. Dobson, Jr.; grandson, Alan W. Crossman; great-grandchildren, Bentley W. and Kennadi L. Crossman; nephew, William A. Dobson, III and very special cousin, Leona Carder. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Pinson officiating. A private interment will be in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn both at the visitation and the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church or Wellroot Family Services (formerly the United Methodist Children's Home) or the charity of your choice in memory of Julia Ann Griffith.
