FARLOW, Patricia Ruth "Pat"

Patricia "Pat" Ruth Farlow died Monday, October 11th, 2021 after a long illness. The younger child of loving parents Arris and Mildred Farlow, Pat was born on September 6th, 1947 in Randleman, NC. Pat grew up in Sophia, NC, being elected Homecoming Queen in her senior year at Randleman High School. Pat attended UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating from the latter with a BA and Masters in Nursing and being the first in her family to earn a postgraduate degree. Pat worked as a psychiatric nurse at the Grady Memorial Hospital Behavioral and Mental Health Center in Atlanta for several decades. Pat was a devoted mother to her two children and numerous golden retrievers. She loved and was beloved by her nieces and nephew; she cherished visiting them at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina, which she had fallen in love with during a childhood visit. Pat is survived by: her older brother Jim; her daughter Amanda; her son Justin and his wife Rebecca; her four grandchildren Teddy, Ellie, Pippa, and Hattie; her dog Cu Chulainn; and her beloved husband of forty-four years, Howie Slaughter.
