North Texas has been deluged with rain recently, and the floodwaters now threaten a major highway on the Texas-Oklahoma border.
While DFW CBS was told that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers don’t believe the floodwaters will rise any more, that’s little consolation for drivers crossing I-35 at the Red River. News helicopter video shows dramatic footage of just how high the floodwaters are surrounding the roadway.
The water level is more than 17 feet over flood stage.
The Oklahoma State Patrol is closely monitoring the situation.
