A man sleeping inside a Woodstock mobile home was wounded five times early Saturday after someone fired multiple shots into the home from the outside, according to police.
Ivan Valadez, 22, was shot four times in the torso and once in the leg at about 7 a.m., according to Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department. Valadez was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where his condition was listed as stable.
The shooting took place at the Noon Day Mobile Home Park in the Woodstock area. About 10 bullets struck the mobile home, according to Baker. Valadez’ mother and sister were also inside the trailer but were not injured. Police say it appears the shots were fired from a moving vehicle inside the mobile home park.
No other mobile homes were hit, suggesting the suspect was targeting the victim, Baker said. Deputies are canvassing the neighborhood and seeking the public’s help. Cops are searching for a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, flair side model with black wheels and European tail lights that are round and clear.
