Winter Weather Advisory in effect for northeast Georgia mountains

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the northeast Georgia mountains. It was issued for several counties Tuesday night.

There's a chance for light mix or freezing rain as the next system moves in.  

We'll show you the timing of our next warm-up and the chance for rain and possible winter weather tonight, on the Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4:30 a.m.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said less than a tenth of an inch is expected and minor accumulation would be most likely be on elevated surfaces. 

If you're headed out on the roads, drivers should look out for slick spots on the roads.

Burns said that big weather changes are coming for the middle of this week, mainly rainfall and much warmer temperatures. 

Heavy rain will move in Wednesday through Thursday morning.
