Are you a parent looking for an inexpensive way to keep your child entertained for a few hours? Or maybe you’re looking for a cheap date for you and a significant other. Or maybe you’re just a movie buff.
Whatever the case is, here’s some good news: “Movies by Moonlight” returns to Sandy Springs this weekend. For one night in August, September and October, the event will show a free outdoor movie at City Springs.

First on the lineup is Disney-Pixar’s “Coco” which will air on Aug. 24. Then on Sept. 7, they’ll show “The Greatest Showman” starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams. Grab your lightsaber on Oct. 5 because the event will screen “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” that evening.
Admission to see the movies are free, but there are also activities and food available for purchase before. Food trucks and activities start at 6 p.m. and movies typically begin at dusk, shown on a 30-foot inflatable screen.
This is the 14th year of “Movies by Moonlight.” This year movies will be shown on the city green lawn at 1 Galambos Way.
