It’s going to be a lot more convenient for folks around metro Atlanta to get their hands on fermented apple juice.
Atlanta’s first craft cider company, UrbanTree Cidery, has struck a deal with Publix that will make six packs of 12-ounce bottles of its hard cider available at 15 Publix stores around metro Atlanta, according to a press release from the cidery.
No longer will folks from Cobb and north Fulton, or other areas of metro Atlanta have to fight traffic for a taste of hard cider.
Just head to one of these Publix stores:

UrbanTree opened in 2016 at 1465 Howell Mill Road NW in Atlanta. It is owned by Tim and Maria Resuta, and Maria’s sister, Jackie Annise.
Two cider varieties from UrbanTree will be available at Publix, its Classic and Original flavors. The Original is described as “dry, yet crisp with subtle notes of apple sweetness.” UrbanTree says its Classic flavor is “refreshing and pleasant with bright apple notes.”
Hard ciders at UrbanTree are made from apples from the Cathey Family Orchard in Mountain City, Georgia.
