It seems like a new brewery is popping up every other day in metro Atlanta.
Everyone has their favorite, but there’s at least three of them that have risen above the rest in terms of popularity, according to one website.
Thrillist — a website covering food, drink, travel and entertainment — recently released a list of “The 32 Hottest Breweries In America Right Now.” Among the booze factories topping the charts are three Atlanta breweries.
The list, determined by Thrillist’s four beer “experts” features Sweetwater Brewing, New Realm and Hopstix.

Sweetwater first opened its doors in 1997, and its brewery is located just north of Midtown. They distribute around the country, from Maryland to California to Massachusetts. You can even get their flagship 420 Pale Ale on Delta flights.
The people behind New Realm debuted their brewery-restaurant less than a year ago along the Beltline. Spanning over 40,000 square-feet, the brewery features a vast menu and more than 20 beers on-tap.
Founded by Andy Tan and stationed in Chamblee, Hopstix opened in 2017 as an Asian brewpub, meshing together the elements of a brewery, sushi bar and chef-driven restaurant all in one place. Grab a “Rice and Shine” or a “Night King’s Stout” and pair it with ramen or poke bowls for a unique experience.
Thrillist says it will update its rankings like a tap list, so check back there in a few weeks and see if another Atlanta brewery checks in.
