The DeKalb County Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office are searching for a suspect wanted in the death of 43-year-old Willie James Hammond.
Neighbors called 911 on Feb. 13 after hearing a gunshot at 1201 Fairington Village Drive in Lithonia. Officers found Hammond facedown in the doorway, shot, police said.
Investigators believe the motive was robbery. They took out murder warrants for Javien Evans, 17, Tamorris D’Tron Tyler, 26, and Taveyon McNeil.

McNeil, 19, is the only suspect yet to be arrested.
As of Thursday, police said they believed he had fled the state, though they declined to say where they think he may have gone.
