Metro Atlantans will enjoy sunny skies and unseasonably warm temperatures all week, with no rain forecast through Friday.
Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton is predicting highs in the mid-70s to around 80 degrees throughout the week, with overnight lows in the mid- to upper 50s.
Those temperatures are about 10 degrees above normal for the last week of March.
This week's dry forecast means Atlanta will likely finish March with a rainfall deficit for the month.
Through Sunday, Atlanta had recorded 3.17 inches of rain this month, a deficit of .77 inch. The deficit for the year now stands at 2.27 inches.
Monday's pollen count was 1,419, down slightly from Sunday's count of 1,444 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air and well below last Tuesday's record-breaking count of 9,369. The major pollens present Monday were mulberry, oak, pine and sycamore, according to the Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic.
