Approximately 3,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into a DeKalb County waterway Sunday.
County water reports show the sewage spilled into the North Fork of Peachtree Creek from the 2400 block of Sherbrooke Court in Atlanta.
In December, the federal Environmental Protection Agency mandated the county upgrade its sewage system after more than 800 spills were reported in five years.
