Residents in Roswell definitely had a bunch of drugs they didn’t want anymore.
On Saturday, Roswell police accepted 241 pounds of pills, syrups and other medicine as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s “Drug Take-Back Day.”
That's 241 pounds of drugs that will not go to landfills, find their way into a water system or in the hands of drug dealers. Roswell police also dropped off a “large load” of needles to Roswell Recycling.
For people who missed the event and still wish to rid themselves of unwanted drugs, Roswell has a drug drop box in the lobby at their police department. It is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
