Police and SWAT team members didn't find the murder suspect they were looking for Wednesday morning in southwest Atlanta.
But they found a house full of drugs and two stolen vehicles at the home on Macon Drive where the raid was staged.
"A substantial amount of ecstasy pills, marijuana, and cocaine were located in the house," said Sgt. Curtis Davenport, Atlanta police spokesman. Also found were "a stripped down Ford pickup truck and two motocross bikes," Davenport said.
Police called the narcotics unit to the scene, off Cleveland Avenue just west of the Brown's Mill Golf Course.
Police are continuing to search for the suspect, Quenton Jones, 30. He was described as a black male, 5-foot-6 inches and 145 pounds. He is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man whose body was found June 13 in a parking lot on Lakewood Avenue.
Police did not provide the name of the man who was killed, but Channel 2 Action News, citing unidentified sources, said the victim was Jones’ 29-year-old brother, Lamarice Westbrook.
Anyone with information on Jones' whereabouts is asked to call the APD Fugitive Unit at 404-326-2154.
