On ‘Passport Day’ in DeKalb, no appointment needed to apply

Applying for a U.S. passport can be a hassle.

DeKalb County officials hope to take some of that stress away with a special “Passport Day” next Saturday.

Citizens can apply for a passport without making an appointment at DeKalb County Superior Court Clerk Debra DeBerry’s office from 8 a.m. to noon on March 23.

Staff will also provide general passport information. Applicants can request routine or expedited passport service.

The superior court clerk’s office is located on the ground floor of the DeKalb County Courthouse at 556 North McDonough Street in Decatur.
