Charles Laughinghouse, the outgoing chairman of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, recently gave his last annual state of the county address. While noting the budget difficulties like those faced by all local governments due to the economic downturn, Laughinghouse also touted progress in the county, such as opening nearly seven miles of the Big Creek Greenway trail and improvements in fire protection and law-enforcement.
