OfficeMax gave $1,000 worth of supplies to teachers at two Cobb County elementary schools, as part of its national "A Day Made Better" program.
The company notified LaBelle Elementary second grade teacher Cory Babcock of the award last week, according to county school officials. Sharon Russell, media specialist and 2011 teacher of the year at Norton Park Elementary, also received $1,000 worth of supplies, which she plans to distribute to classrooms throughout the school.
