No one was injured in a minor fire Tuesday afternoon at Gwinnett Medical Center.
Firefighters were dispatched to the Lawrenceville hospital after a report of smoke and haze on the fifth floor of the south tower, Capt. Tommy Rutledge with the Gwinnett County fire department said.
A wall-mounted light fixture in a patient's room was the cause of the fire, Rutledge said.
As a precaution, several people on the floor were relocated behind a protected fire door on the same floor. There was no structural damage.
