Major hiring event for correctional officers to be held in Atlanta  

The Georgia Department of Corrections is looking to hire correctional officers for an Atlanta facility.

The hiring event for the Metro Reentry Facility (formerly Metro State Prison) will be held at 1301 Constitution Road on July 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Interviews, physical fitness tests and college placement testing will be conducted on-site. Applicants should dress for their interview but bring loose-fitting athletic attire for the test.

Eligible candidates will receive a hiring package the same day.

Applicants should bring copies of the following items:

• Completed application, available online here (blank copies will be available on-site)

• Driver’s license

• Birth certificate

• Social security card

• High school diploma/GED transcript

• Sealed SAT/ACT/Compass/Asset/Accuplacer scores

• DD214 (military)

• If POST certified, a copy of POST profile
