A DeKalb County jury deliberated into the evening Friday without reaching a verdict in the murder case against a Dunwoody woman who killed her husband two years ago.
The jury, which earlier in the day said it was deadlocked, recessed at 8 p.m. and will resume deliberations Monday morning.
Lona Scott, 47, testified that she acted in self-defense, firing six shots into 42-year-old Ralph C. "Cliff" Scott in the predawn hours of March 4, 2008. DeKalb prosecutors contend she murdered her husband, who ran a successful trucking company, to gain control of his $5 million estate.
