Jimmy Carter and David Letterman launch Habitat project
Former President Jimmy Carter has joined forces with an Indiana native to build Habitat houses. Comedian David Letterman has helped Carter launch what AP calls a "Habitat for Humanity building blitz" in the state. Letterman praised Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, for their dedication to Habitat. The former talk show host said he likely would never have volunteered with the nonprofit if not for the Carters. The Indiana effort aims to build 23 homes in five days in Mishawaka.
