A SWAT stand-off at a Gwinnett County home ended Tuesday morning when a suspect surrendered without incident.
The SWAT unit surrounded the home in the 800 block of Martin Heights Drive near Lawrenceville after a man barricaded himself inside following a domestic dispute Tuesday, police said.
The man’s wife called police around 6:30 a.m. to report abuse, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said.
The wife is safe and being treated for injuries, but the man held police at bay until about 11 a.m.
