The website devoted to Gwinnett’s yearlong Bicentennial Celebration won Best of Show out of 249 entries in a National Association of County Information Officers awards competition. Four other awards for Gwinnett communications materials were also presented in Nashville on July 15.
The bicentennial website, www.gwinnett200.com, serves as a clearinghouse for themed events throughout 2018 and as a repository for Story Vault video interviews with Gwinnett residents. The site also features interactive sections on historic sites and the Bicentennial Torch Run.
A video entitled “Gwinnett County Overview” took top honors in its category and the 2018 Multicultural Festival graphics won Best in Class for Special Graphics. A photo of the Bicentennial Torch Run won a Meritorious Award In the photography category.
Gwinnett’s budget division joined with communications staff at Tuesday’s Board of Commissioners meeting to be recognized for the Budget in Brief publication that received a Meritorious Award.
