Some Atlanta City Council members are expected to attend a fundraiser Thursday evening for organizations that provide help to at-risk children.
Project G.R.O.W.T.H. says its effort is to support Mayor Kasim Reed's campaign to offer more tutoring and afterschool activities.
The fundraiser is being held at Hammonds House Museum, 503 Peeples St. S.W. from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Project G.R.O.W.T.H. provides homework assistance, financial literacy, self-esteem building and cultural exposure through dance, art and poetry.
