The City of Alpharetta closed a portion of Kimball Bridge Road between Waters Road and Tuxford Drive for about an hour Tuesday afternoon due to a broken natural gas line.
Public safety officials evacuated residents in the area while crews from Atlanta Gas Light shut down the line that was ruptured by contractors operating in the area. Repairs to the natural gas line were under way Tuesday evening, and residents in the affected area were allowed to return to their homes.
