Newton County authorities are seeking the public's help to locate a missing elderly, disabled Covington man.
Jack McCarty, 72, was last seen on Thursday in the 2100 block of Windercrest Drive in Covington. McCarty has blue-eyes, and gray hair, stands 6 foot 1, and weighs 170 lbs. Police describe him as having a large forehead. When last seen, McCarty was wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans and brown house shoes. He walks with a cane.
Police said McCarty was on foot when last seen. Police asks that anyone with information on McCarty to call the Newton County Sheriff's Office at 678-625-1421 or 678-625-1412.
