Doctors find 27 contact lenses lost in woman's eye

A story in the British Medical Journal drew some eyes recently. Doctors said they were preparing a 67-year-old woman for surgery. They found 27 contact lenses in the patient's eye. The lenses were clumped together in a "blueish mass." They also said they were "bound together by mucus." The patient said she felt much better after the lenses were removed.
