A DeKalb County animal control worker got creative to save an 8-week-old puppy that fell into a drainage pipe outside Lithonia.
The worker modified his catch pole to save the Yorkie after he fell down the pipe while walking in his yard off Lithonia Industrial Boulevard, police said.
Firefighters from county Station 14 assisted in the rescue. The puppy was unharmed.
“The owner was ecstatic!” police said in a post on Facebook.
