With over 500 dogs in house Thursday, officials at the DeKalb County animal shelter said there was an urgent need for foster homes for dogs.
“There is not a single space left in our shelter. We are expecting 30 new animals each day and have nowhere to put them,” DeKalb County Animal Services said in a Facebook post. “We are in desperate need of temporary foster homes for some really awesome dogs.”

The shelter is also asking for supplies, such as crates, food, leashes and collars, which can be dropped off at 3280 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road or donated on Amazon here.
