Decatur Preservation Alliance is again putting out word for volunteers for its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Service Project next month..
The group, in partnership with the city, will fix up a dozen homes of elderly residents between Jan. 16 and 18. Yard work will be done at another two dozen homes.
More than 1,200 volunteers showed up for last year’s effort, providing everything from materials to skilled carpentry work to gardening.
