The crash occurred just after 7:15 a.m. Monday. The driver of the vehicle carrying the boy, a 78-year-old man, attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection of Ridge Road and South Puckett Road in Buford when an oncoming vehicle did not stop and collided with the back of the man’s car, according to the accident report. The boy was ejected in the collision.
The driver of the car carrying the boy was found to be at fault in the accident. Alcohol and speed were not factors, and the driver was not arrested, jail logs show. Charges are pending, according to a police spokeswoman.
