Enjoy Thursday’s morning sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the mid-70s, because an approaching cold front will deliver a chilly, damp end to the work week.
Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon, with a chance of scattered showers by early evening.
Afternoon highs Thursday should reach the mid-70s, but Friday will be cloudy and much cooler, with a 70 percent chance of rain and highs only in the upper 50s, Minton said.
The good news in Minton’s forecast is that the rain should clear out by Saturday, leaving skies once again sunny for the weekend.
Temperatures, however, will be slow to rebound, struggling to reach the low 60s on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Weekend lows will be in the low 40s, Minton said.
