A man who robbed a Braselton gas station in blackface may be unmasked by security camera video.
Braselton police say the man used a pistol when robbing a Shell station on the corner of Ga. 211 and Ga. 124 Tuesday at 11 p.m.
The man allegedly cleaned out the cash register and, on the way out, dropped some of his loot. Investigators say he managed to get away with about $600.
The crime was captured on video.
Braselton Assistant Police Chief Lou Solis said the suspect's getaway driver, a woman, went into a nearby Waffle House while waiting for her partner. While there, she too was filmed by a security camera.
Investigators believe the suspects are connected to the robbery of a Chick-fil-A on Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinett County. Earlier this week, a man wearing blackface robbed the restaurant by saying he had a bomb.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
