For 103 Bank of America employees, April 3 will be their last day at a Kennesaw office.
That’s according to a bank spokeswoman and a notice of the layoffs filed with the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
Jumana Bauwens, a BoA spokeswoman, said employees were notified on Feb. 1 that the company would consolidate its estate services group and send their work to other sites.

These employees worked at a corporate building — not a branch — at an office located in Kennesaw at 210 Townpark Drive.
“Like all companies, we are in a changing marketplace, and we must adjust our workforce to meet those needs,” Bauwens said, adding that the bank employs 6,000 Georgians.

She said “several” of those laid off have found other positions, which is something the bank tries to do when they lay workers off.
“For those not able to find a new role at the company, we work closely with them and provide career counseling, services and resources to assist with finding a new role,” Bauwens said.
