Step Up or Step Down, a parent group formed following the threat of accreditation loss in Atlanta Public Schools, is reforming as Step Up for Public Schools, a long-term advocacy group.
Organizers announced the name change and revised vision this week after the district was taken off accredited probation. They want to continue encouraging parent participation and advocacy as well as improvement in public education.
