Taking a page from brands that draw potential customers and fans in by creating social media-worthy backdrops, an Atlanta homebuilder has splashed a couple stairways in color.
Edward Andrews Homes’ new development, Bixton, is located in East Lake near Kirkwood and Oakhurst. The concrete staircases, designed and painted by EA Homes, lead from Cottage Grove Avenue up to Second Avenue and Hosea L. Williams Drive.
Caroline Simmel, chief marketing officer for EA Homes, said the mural “serves as a gateway to Atlanta’s vibrant intown lifestyle.”
“The idea for the mural goes far beyond the art element and elevates the community as a whole, establishing a sense of place and providing a ‘sharable’ moment for those living here or just passing by,” Simmel said in a press release.
Three-bedroom, single-family homes at Bixton are available in two- and three-story floorplans ranging from 2,400 to more than 2,600 square feet. A greenspace is located in the center of the community.
The homes, priced from the high $400s, are open for sales at neighboring EA Homes community, The Swift.
“We used a carefully-curated color palette to create an ombré design and bring life to the once dark and dull space,” said Jenny NeSmith, marketing director for EA Homes. The developers suggest neighbors to post their photos using the hashtag #StairwayToHosea.
