Athens-Clarke County Police on Saturday were on the lookout for Derek Joseph Wardlaw, accused of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. Wardlaw is also accused of discharging a firearm.
The 28-year-old suspect is described as white male 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10, weighing 156 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a green shirt.
Police spokeswoman Sara Ivy said Wardlaw is thought to be on foot in the Walton Creek Road/Thornhill Circle area.
Investigators and K-9, as well as the Georgia State Patrol helicopter and Jackson County sheriff's deputies were involved in the search.
