About 82 percent of Georgia's lawmakers have college degrees compared to a national average 75 percent, according to a study released Monday.
The Chronicle of Higher Education examined whether and where each state legislator went to college. California had the most educated Legislature, with about 90 percent of lawmakers holding a bachelor's degree or higher. New Hampshire ranked last at 53 percent.
The most popular college for Georgia lawmakers? University of Georgia, followed by Georgia State, Mercer, Georgia Southern and Emory universities.
