Gov. Nathan Deal raised more than $500,000 in his first six months in office, according to campaign finance reports filed with the state ethics commission late Friday.
Deal ended June with more than $400,000 in cash on hand.
For the six months beginning Jan. 1, Deal spent nearly $190,000.
Deal, like other state officials, was barred by law from raising money while the Legislature was in session from mid-January to mid-April.
